With Red Bull completely dominating F1, it is no doubt that they have seen a massive increase in their fan following. While the center of attraction for the team is Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez also shares a fair amount of time in the spotlight.
A video recently surfaced on Twitter showing Perez’s fans stealing his cut-outs from a McDonald’s outlet. The video shows two fans grabbing a cutout from the outlet and running back toward their car. While the act is not ethical, it does show how much Perez is loved and appreciated by his fans.
Perez has been under much criticism lately due to his inconsistent performances. But it is evident that he still has a lot of support from the people. He is currently second in the WDC standings with 189 points, 125 behind his teammate Max Verstappen.

Sergio Perez comes under Toto Wolff’s target as the Mercedes chief labels the season as ‘stale’
As Red Bull has won all the races in the 2023 season, many of its rivals have commented about the sport losing its thrill. Recently, Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has said that the lack of competition between Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen makes things worse for F1.
Drawing to Mercedes’ past domination, Wolff said that their drivers were in very close competition with each other, which is certainly not the case with Perez and Verstappen. Perez trails Verstappen by 125 points in the WDC standings and finished with a massive 22-second gap from Verstappen in the Belgium Grand Prix.
“I don’t know whether our dominance was similar or less as I think we had years where we did it in the same way. But at least we had two cars that were fighting each other. So that caused a little bit of entertainment for everyone, and that’s not the case at the moment,” Wolff told Autosport.
Mercedes has seen some cutthroat rivalries in their dominant years, such as the Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg rivalry, also called The Silver War. The duo was often seen colliding with each other, both on and off the tracks, with both of them almost getting suspended one time.
