“Former, current, and future Champions?”: F1 fans react to a throwback picture of Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel at COTA
With only two races left in the schedule for this year’s Formula One Championship season, Sebastian Vettel’s illustrious career in the pinnacle of motorsports is currently on its last legs. Fans of the German are finding it hard to believe that the four-time F1 World title-holder will not cheer up the paddocks with his warm presence from the next season onwards, and in order to give them some more adorable Sebastian Vettel content, the official Instagram page of Red Bull Racing came out with a throwback picture.
In the snap which was taken in the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, the fans can spot Sebastian Vettel, shaking hands with Max Verstappen, while Charles Leclerc took a short break beside the two of them after a gruelling racing session. When this photo made rounds on Reddit, the F1 followers poured in their loving comments on Sebastian Vettel’s wholesale gesture to congratulate Max for winning the round in the USA.
Some of the fans even took this photo as a sign of some future incidents in F1 such as Charles Leclerc’s win, and Max Verstappen’s move to Ferrari once his tenure at Red Bull gets over!

When Red Bull Racing put up the post showing Max Verstappen share a close moment with friend and colleague Sebastian Vettel at COTA, the F1 fans reacted to the photo with their own comments about how it depicts Max, the current Champion, Sebastian, the former Champion, and Charles Leclerc, who might very well become the World In the upcoming seasons. In fact, only a few days ago, Leclerc had said he is target for the World title in 2023 after missing out on it this year to Max Verstappen.

In other news, Sebastian Vettel announced his exit from F1 at the end of 2023, only a few months ago. Following his news, Fernando Alonso suddenly declared that he would be taking Seb’s seat at Aston Martin. And now, it has been confirmed that taking Alonso’s place in Alpine is Pierre Gasly, who previously drove for AlphaTauri.
