“I believe it should stay on the calendar”: Lando Norris wants the Monaco Grand Prix to stay on the F1 2023 calendar
The fate of the Monaco Grand Prix is hanging on the wire as of now as the FIA has got proposals from some bidders with bigger capital, who wish to host the Grand Prix at their racing circuits. A lot of the F1 racers have spoken in favor of keeping the Monaco Grand Prix in the F1 2023 calendar as it is one of the most popular Grands Prix that the drivers as well as the fans look forward to all through the year.
Now, Lando Norris from McLaren has voices his support for keeping the Principality in the list of host who will get to organise an F1 Grand Prix next year. The young Briton has recently gotten a P6 finish in the Monaco Grand Prix that was held last Sunday in Monte Carlo. The race started a little late due to a delay because of the weather, and the FIA ruled for a safety car start to ensure driver safety.
As the contract between the Automobile Club de Monaco and Liberty Media has come to an end and they are yet to renew it, McLaren’s Lando Norris hopes the historic stays on the calendar for the next few years as well.

Lando Norris believes Monaco Grand Prix should stay in F1 for years to come
On the day of the Monaco Grand Prix, heavy rain poured in, and the race was delayed for an hour. All the commentators from SkySports discussed how it would affect the future of the Monaco GP if the rain never stopped, and the fans had to go back home. But fortunately, they could start the race after a while, and Lando Norris displayed a great performance by snatching a P6 position.
Speaking on the topic of whether the Monaco Grand Prix should be included in the 2023 calendar for Formula 1, Lando Norris wrote in a column for the Telegraph, “I believe it should stay on the calendar.”
He further wrote, “Not only is it an iconic venue, it is an incredible test of nerve and skill. When you are in the zone, as I was in the last 10 laps, it feels amazing.”
