Lando Norris, a young McLaren driver, reveals his new love for rally cars, keeping his future plans clear. Norris hankers over his wish to try a rally car in the future. Norris recently visited a rally show and witnessed a car pass by from the nearest possible location. That excited his inner driver to try the bumpy sport which is entirely different from his current profession.

Lando Norris has been a part of endurance racing apart from Formula 1. Norris tried Daytona 24 hours alone side, Fernando Alonso, for united autosports back in 2018. He then took a step ahead in 2019 in his single racing career and started his professional career as a full-time Formula 1 driver.

Lando is eager to give a different variety of motorsport a try, “I want to try some rallying at some point. I just realised going there for the first time and witnessing it, how crazy those people are. It made me really, really want to have a go,” said Lando.

Every Formula 1 racer starts his career with a small car in their own backyard. Karting is the initial phase of a driver looking forward to a career in a single-seater. Lando brings up Rally in relation to Karting.

Lando went down to a rally track regarding a shoot for his community Quadrant in his summer break where is witnessed a rally car pass by in full sport mode and was shocked enough to see it.

“It’s like karting. A lot of Formula 1 drivers like to do karting, because it gets them back in feeling things and it’s very feeling-related in karting,” said Lando.

Lando Norris is currently the rest of the best in the grid being seventh in the driver’s championship. He has the drivers from the top three teams ahead of him.
