One such incident took place at 2011’s Autosport Awards where Vettel, in a hilarious way, gave Jenson Button a taste of his own medicine.

While on the stage, Button tried to act clever and said, “There’s been one guy out there Seb, and Red Bull who have done this year. I must say, staggering job.”

I also have an extra one here if you want it, Seb. So I’m up here okay. But seriously, those guys did an amazing job.

Jenson Button, on one hand, appreciated Sebastian Vettel for his 2011 F1 exploits, and on the other, took a cheeky jibe.

In the year 2011, Sebastian Vettel won the F1 World Championship, and it was a certainty that he was going to get his chance to get up on the stage.

Moreover, when this happened, Button must have regretted what he said about him.

Sebastian Vettel while addressing the audience, had that Button remark at the back of his head, and added, “Yeah, and beaten by Jenson for not wearing a tie, but that’s alright, I’ll do that when I’m 30+.”

After hearing this response, the crowd burst into laughter, and deep down, Button while laughing must have thought, he shouldn’t have done what he did.

That moment is one of the classics in the sport’s history, and Vettel since then, has produced many such hilarious antics away from the F1 track.

While Sebastian Vettel will be missed from the next season onwards for his on-track exploits, he will also be missed for his dry sense of humor, which has left so many people completely stumped over the years.
