Max Verstappen, the 2022 F1 World Champion has finished the season off in style and thanked his team for helping him in landing his 15th win of the campaign in Abu Dhabi.

Max Verstappen has been pretty much flawless throughout this year, and his stupendous showing at the Yas Marina Circuit was another example of it.

Moreover, while dwelling on his outing after the Grand Prix, he added, “It was good. I didn’t have the tires to do a competitive two-stop.”

“So, I had to more or less commit to a one-stop. Everything was working well, medium tires worked out well.”

“Maybe the last few laps on that tire were a bit difficult but then once we put the hard tires on it was about managing it to the end, and controlling the gap to the cars behind. That worked out quite well.”

The Dutchman has made it known that his race, after getting off to a decent start was all about maintaining his race strategy and committing to a one-stop.

“Last year, I said if I can have a season like this again it would be amazing. Incredible! The whole team effort. It’s been enjoyable to be part of. The goal is to always be better even though we know it’s hard to achieve.“

The 25-year-old had a challenging 2021 campaign where he was pushed until the end by Lewis Hamilton, but during this year’s campaign, he has completely dominated his competition and proved why he is considered one of the best in the sport.

Max Verstappen has brought the curtain down on the 2022 campaign with a victory to his name and considering how he performed throughout the season, he is set for bigger and better things in the future.
