Christian Horner has become the talk of the F1 paddock in the past few weeks. The 50-year-old was accused of inappropriate behavior by a female employee. 24 hours after being cleared of allegations, Horner was again in the limelight after an alleged evidence leak caused controversy. Now, Max Verstappen‘s father Jos Verstappen has slammed the Red Bull team boss.

Previously, there were rumors of a fallout between Jos Verstappen and Christian Horner. However, the Briton had dismissed such claims. Now, the former F1 driver has finally spoken up on the entire saga. The 51-year-old recently claimed that tensions would continue to persist within the team as long as Horner was still serving as the team boss.

Moreover, the ex-F1 driver went as far as stating that Christian Horner’s case could potentially tear apart Red Bull Racing altogether. Subsequently, Jos Verstappen made it clear that the current status quo could not continue for longer as it could lead to an explosive outcome within Milton Keynes.

Additionally, Jos Verstappen claimed that Horner was playing the victim over the entire situation despite the problems arising from the alleged behavior of the 50-year-old himself.

Can Christian Horner’s inappropriate behavior saga tear apart Red Bull?

Jos Verstappen has made a bold claim by stating that Horner’s case could tear apart Red Bull Racing. However, it must be noted that the 50-year-old’s allegations have tarnished the reputation of the team and F1 as a whole. Moreover, there have been reports of Dietrich Mateschitz’s son joining forces with Helmut Marko to oust Christian Horner.

It is clear that Jos Verstappen is not happy with the Briton. Subsequently, Max Verstappen would be siding with his father over the issue and potentially a rift could arise between the 26-year-old and his team boss. Although, the reigning world champion has made it clear that he remains fully focused on his 2024 campaign.

Certainly, Christian Horner has reportedly lost several allies within the team including aero genius Adrian Newey. However, the 50-year-old seems to have won the support of his wife Geri Halliwell. The couple kissed at the Bahrain GP.

Nevertheless, Christian Horner could soon be at risk of losing his F1 career if tensions continue to escalate within Red Bull and F1. As such, fans would be looking forward to seeing how things pan out for the 50-year-old in the coming days.
