Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time world champion, has decided to part ways with Mercedes for Ferrari in 2025. Perhaps after citing underperformance and a lack of success, the Brit made the decision. The Italian outfit has been performing well during the ongoing 2024 season.

Mercedes’s underperformance has been a significant factor in Hamilton’s dissatisfaction with the team as they struggle to maintain their top position for two consecutive seasons. With the W15, the German outfit had hoped for stronger performances, however, the car is now leading the team into an extremely difficult position.

It's natural that Lewis will feel comforted. He knows he's probably not going to win the world championship this year unless there is a miraculous turnaround, so he might as well look to the future. And at the moment, the Ferrari is a better package than the Mercedes.

Chandhok has made it known that Hamilton is finding solace in Ferrari’s improving performances. The SF-24 is performing reasonably well as Ferrari has claimed podiums in all three races. Hamilton has previously admitted that it was his childhood dream to drive for the Red, and perhaps with an ever-improving Italian team, he might be able to claim his eighth world championship.

The seven-time world champion has spent his entire life racing and has admitted that it is impossible to go on racing forever.

I went through this phase of understanding that I can’t race forever. Because when I stop, I’m gonna drop the mic and be happy. The difficult thing is I want to do everything. I’m very ambitious. But I understand that you can’t do – actually, I take that back because I don’t believe in the word can’t. To be a master at something, there’s the 10,000 hours it takes. Obviously, I’ve done that in racing. There’s not enough time to master all of these different things.

Hamilton is known for doing things wholeheartedly, his alchemy of switching from one role to another has left many astonished. Outside racing, the Brit has an interest in movies and fashion.

The latter is no surprise as the British driver is well known as a fashion icon in the paddock. Hamilton is well aware that due to his age and health restrictions, he cannot race for a long time. The Brit’s contract with Ferrari could prove to be his last in the sport.
