Max Verstappen called out the Las Vegas Grand Prix on almost every single one of its flaws, brutally criticizing the race until the event itself on Sunday. The Dutchman did not appreciate any of the highly marketed aspects of the event, especially the glamorous opening ceremony.
Further controversy came when the World Champion blasted F1 for the FP1 incident where fans were not appropriately compensated for the brief session. Kevin Magnussen was not completely on board with Verstappen’s comments. Magnussen argued that races like Las Vegas pay the bills for F1 drivers and they lead good lives due to them, and they should be more appreciative of that.

It's okay to have an opinion, maybe you should keep it to yourself. At the end of the day we all run on pretty good salaries, we live a good life and it's all because of that. At the end of the day we should maybe show a little more appreciationKevin Magnussen said, as reported by autosprint.corrieredellosport.it
Kevin Magnussen failed to score points in the Las Vegas GP along with teammate Nico Hulkenberg but enjoyed himself throughout the weekend anyway. Haas joined in the revelries, being the only American team on the grid for the 3rd race in the country.
Lewis Hamilton says Max Verstappen finds it hard to keep success in perspective
Max Verstappen has won a record 19 races in the 2023 season alone, also setting multiple other records in the process. The Dutchman has won 24 races in the past two seasons alone and won the Drivers’ Championship by a huge margin in both years.

Lewis Hamilton pointed out that Christian Horner’s radio messages to Verstappen after a race victory have become markedly less enthusiastic. The 7x World Champion claimed it’s hard to keep success in perspective, especially during a spell of utter domination like what Verstappen is experiencing.
When you have so much success, no matter how hard you try it’s hard to keep things in perspective. I even hear it in Christian Horner’s voice when Max wins, he doesn’t know what to say. He’s like: ‘Here we go again. Good job, Max. Good job.’Lewis Hamilton said, as reported by planetf1.com
Lewis Hamilton had his domination era in the last decade, which was ended in 2021 by Verstappen. The title decider between the two was the extremely controversial Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, and its second running since the 2021 title decider is at the end of this week. The Abu Dhabi GP is the finale of the 2023 season and will decide the currently volatile order of the Constructors’ Standings.
