2007 Formula One world champion Kimi Raikkonen took to social media to reveal the birth of his third child with spouse Minttu Raikkonen. Raikkonen posted a wholesome picture of him and his new family on Instagram, captioned, “Welcome to the world, Grace. We love you so much!” The couple welcomed their daughter, Grace, expanding their family from four to five.
Minttu Raikkonen announced her pregnancy in January and was actively sharing pictures on social media. At the same time, her spouse did not follow in her footsteps. Although, he posted an array of pictures on his Instagram story with Baby Grace and the Raikkonen family. Kimi would be keen on getting his new daughter into karting after his children have shown interest in their father’s profession.
Kimi Raikkonen married his second wife, Minttu, back in 2016. Raikkonen’s older children Robin Raikkonen and Rianna Angelia Milana Raikkonen were born in 2015 and 2016. Despite the ‘Iceman’ retiring in 2021, the Finnish couple received an outpouring of wholesome messages from their fans on social media.
With the Arrival of His Third Child, What Does the Future Hold for F1 Legend Kimi Raikkonen?
Kimi Raikkonen, known for his calm and collected personality, was one of F1’s most recognizable drivers. After joining the sport in 2001 after signing with Sauber, Kimi has a career spanning over two decades. He has raced for legendary teams like McLaren, Ferrari, Lotus, and Sauber. He secured his first and only world title with Ferrari in 2007 and remains the last drivers’ champion from the Scuderia.
After leaving F1 for a short period to pursue other endeavors, the Finn returned to join the Lotus team. He later did a second stint with his old team, Ferrari partnering with Sebastian Vettel this time. However, in 2019 Kimi was replaced by young Charles Leclerc at Ferrari. After spending the latter stages of his career at Alfa Romeo teaming up with Antonio Giovinazzi, Raikkonen retired from Formula One.
His motorsport career, however, did not end there. The Finn made his debut at the NASCAR Cup Series, which, unfortunately for him, did not end well. Since his NASCAR debut, he has been inactive in the racing scene. Rumors have emerged of Kimi joining an IndyCar crew part-time for 2023, sharing a seat with NASCAR legend Jimmie Johnson.
