The ultimate race of the season, the Abu Dhabi GP has been finished and hence concluded the season of 2023 of Formula 1. Max Verstappen took the championship with Red Bull also winning the Constructor’s Cup. However, McLaren alongside Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have shown great form towards the later half of the season and are showing promising pace for the next season.

The Briton driver Lando Norris was very complimentary of the McLaren boss Andrea Stella after an amazing late-season performance of the team. Norris claimed that Stella was the director of the entire team and everyone else was just the actor working under him. Additionally, he commented that Stella worked well with everyone and cheered him on.

Andrea [Stella] is simply the director of the whole thing. He is the producer on the set, and everyone else is the actor, but you have to work very well with everyone. And That's exactly what they're doing.

Further, the 24-year-old youngster talked about the great job of the Italian team boss and exclaimed that he was in the perfect spot. Further, Norris insisted that he did a lot for the team over the race weekends and finally added that he couldn’t ask for a better team boss for him and the crew at McLaren.

He's really done a great job. I'm very, very happy to have him where he is. He continues to do a lot for the team every weekend as far as racing, qualifying and as far as all of that goes, I couldn't ask for a better team boss.

Andrea Stella claimed that Lando Norris judges himself very critically

The Italian boss was also appreciative of the young British driver Lando Norris. However, Stella exclaimed that Norris was sometimes too harsh on himself and judged his performances very critically. Especially in the situations where he had difficulty, he used to be his biggest critic for his mistakes.

Additionally, he talked about the incredible performance from Lando Norris over the weekend and congratulated him on the P6 finish in the driver’s standings even after the difficult start to the season. Stella also talked about how we should take the negative aspects of a situation to increase the shape and don’t pull ourselves down in the process.

Despite a big performance slump in the former half of the season, the updates brought up by McLaren helped the team gain some amazing pace in the MCL60. The team, at one point, was capable of challenging the front runners Red Bull in terms of pace on multiple occasions. Hence, McLaren is very hopeful of greater results in the following season and scoring more points for the team.
