The McLaren racing team scored an impressive feat in the 2023 season of F1. Despite having a big slump in the beginning of the season, the team scored a massive comeback and hence finally finished P4 in the constructor’s championship. Lando Norris hence commented over this comeback from McLaren.

The Briton driver commented over the importance of the P4 finish of the Papaya squad. He exclaimed how the impressive finish was important for the morale and motivation for the team moving ahead in the next season. Norris further recalled the slump at the start of the season and added that the hard work from the team finally paid off.

It’s very important for the whole team. It’s important for morale, motivation, just knowing that we beat a team [two in reality with Alpine and Aston Martin]. We were far behind at the start of the year, so it shows that the work paid off.

The 24-year-old driver commented that the finish was a good bonus for the hardworking crew at McLaren. Norris insisted that he was happy to be a part of the progression of the Woking-based team. Lando Norris exclaimed that the comeback from the team was one of the biggest milestones ever and further proved that the team works extremely hard and tries to improve as much as possible.

Lando Norris credited team boss Andrea Stella for the successful stint in 2023

Norris did not forget to praise the team principle Andrea Stella for his continuous work and service to the team despite the massive stint in the beginning of the season. According to the Briton, Andrea Stella was one of the major reasons for the success of McLaren after the mid-season break as the Italian worked very well with everyone and coped well under pressure.

In addition to this, Norris added that Stella was the best boss that he could have ever asked for in a team. Further he talked about the great job from him and how he did a lot for the team over the weekends and qualifying sessions. Norris did not hesitate in appreciating the boss for the amazing job in the season and displayed optimism for the coming season.

McLaren after scoring such an amazing comeback has proved that the team does have the potential to potentially fight in the forefront with the front-runners of the pack. In multiple races of the season, McLaren did seriously contend with Red Bull and challenged them continuously in the race. Finally, the team aims at developing the car for the next season in the best way possible.
