The first-ever Formula 1 Grand Prix in Los Angeles is still a couple of months away, but Lewis took the opportunity of the summer break to visit his family in the City of the Angels. Over and over again, the Briton has shared photos with his young niece and nephew who are very close to him.

Speaking of his time with them, the Mercedes racer said, “I did the first week (of the summer break) in LA with my niece and nephew. It was really sunny and beautiful – I was mostly working when I was over there. I did some hiking in the mountains. Otherwise, just competing with my niece and nephew everyday – running and jumping in the ocean. My niece, she just wants to do cannonball all of the time.

But Lewis did not forget to spend time with his pet dog Roscoe over the summer break too. The Silver Arrows racer uploaded photos and videos of him teaching Roscoe to share watermelons and the fans were overwhelmed with the cuteness of the British bulldog. Now, Lewis is back in the field and all focused on capitalising on his opportunities to get the best results out of the W14. And it remains to be seen how he fares at the upcoming Monza Grand Prix in Ferrari’s backyard.
