The Formula One off-season has brought a lot of drama to the sport, as accusations have been flung, though it is unknown who by. Lewis Hamilton has endorsed Susie Wolff’s statement concerning the recent developments in the paddock.

A certain party yet to be identified brought to the FIA’s attention some information in the possession of Toto Wolff which concerned the FIA’s secure details that should not have been with the Team Principal and CEO of one of the squads on the grid.

Whether these accusations are true is yet to be seen, but they have posed an unprecedented problem. Susie Wolff, Toto’s spouse, has headed the F1 Academy since its inception, being a prominent figure in female representation in motorsports herself. However, since Toto Wolff was brought into light for the incident, an investigation began into her, to see if she had potentially disclosed any sensitive information to her husband.

Susie Wolff was enraged by the investigation, taking to social media to brand the investigation intimidatory and misogynistic, saying her integrity was being questioned without purpose. Lewis Hamilton posted this statement on his Instagram story, his account with 36 million followers, supporting the F1 Academy head’s statement.

Christian Horner denies any involvement with FIA’s Wolff family investigation

FIA’s conduction of the conflict of interest investigation into Susie and Toto Wolff has caused huge unrest in the F1 paddock. With fingers being pointed everywhere, all the teams on the paddock are eager to free themselves from any blame in the matter, that is causing interference in the brand-new F1 Academy.

Red Bull is known for having an extremely intense rivalry with Mercedes, but team principal Christian Horner has denied any responsibility for inciting the investigation. Horner said Red Bull has good relations with F1 Academy, entering three cars for the 2024 season. The British former racing driver said that they have worked closely with Susie Wolff and Red Bull did nothing to spark the controversial incident.

We have a big rivalry [with Mercedes] on track but we haven't raised any official complaint either about Susie or Toto or Mercedes to the FIA…We've been working closely with Susie, who's been doing a great job on F1 Academy.

The rest of the Formula One grid has also been quick to avert their eyes from themselves about the incident, all of them parroting the same quote on their respective social media except Mercedes themselves. Susie Wolff is deeply offended herself, being the latest woman in the pinnacle of motorsport to participate in an F1 practice session.
