Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso remain fiercely driven and unwaveringly determined, which explains their consistent success and exceptional performance in F1, even in the latter stages of their careers. The pair have fought it out on track time and again, showcasing their experience and prowess behind the wheel.
The seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton is full of praise for Fernando Alonso, who continues to produce consistent results despite being 41. Speaking to the media, Hamilton did not fail to express his admiration for the Spaniard. He said, “I can’t speak for Fernando but you can tell, obviously, from looking from afar and how Fernando is driving, the talent clearly hasn’t left him and I don’t believe it does leave us”
The Englishman believes that age does not take away talent and skill honed over decades of experience at the pinnacle of motorsport and asserted that the pair are still at the very top of their game. He praised Alonso’s work ethic, saying, “I think it’s also to do with your work ethic. He’s clearly in great shape, and he’s doing an amazing job. I think racing is enough in our DNA, in our blood, and we don’t put less work in now than we did when we were younger.”
The duo has partaken in duels on track for over 15 years, which speaks volumes of their longevity and passion for Formula One. They also share mutual respect and possess nine world titles. They are a pleasure to witness, and their contribution to F1 can never be overstated.

Fernando Alonso admits he would love to team up with Lewis Hamilton once again

The relationship between Alonso and Hamilton during their time together at McLaren was characterized by significant strain, surpassing mere disagreement. Regular clashes between the two drivers and high levels of frustration within the team were prevalent. Eventually, the tensions escalated so that Alonso chose to leave McLaren after only one year, despite having originally signed a three-year contract. The explanation for his departure was the presence of “less than ideal cooperation” between Alonso and the team.
Despite the passage of 16 years since then, occasional glimpses of rivalry between Alonso and Hamilton still emerge. However, the intense frustration experienced during their previous encounters appears to have significantly diminished, particularly from Alonso’s perspective. The Spaniard told the Daily Mail, “It would be nice to end our careers together, I would love that”.
With the evident mutual respect between Hamilton and Alonso during their on-track encounters, the prospect of seeing them as teammates on the grid would undoubtedly excite fans. Their extensive combined experience, built over a decade and a half of fierce competition, would pose a formidable threat to their rivals. The partnership would bring together knowledge, skill, and racing acumen, making it a compelling scenario for Formula 1 enthusiasts.
