Lewis Hamilton takes a cheeky dig at Lando Norris for his childish looks while chatting with young Sky F1 presenter
Lewis Hamilton takes a dig at Lando Norris as he makes a funny joke about him.
This weekend saw young Sky presenters taking the roles of F1 presenters. One such presenter took the stage asking Hamilton what it takes to grow a real beard, to which Hamilton gave a cheeky response and also took a dig at fellow British driver Lando Norris. He responded, “You should go to Lando and ask him how long it will take him to grow a real beard.” The response was soon taken as a funny joke which it was.
The McLaren driver despite his age is having a late boom in his beard growth and British Grand Prix was when the fans were able to truly spot the beard growth. Hamilton made fun of the beard growth of Lando Norris who took P2 in the British Grand Prix as well as the Hungarian Grand Prix. Hamilton missed out on the podium in Hungary with Perez maintaining a wide gap till the end of the Grand Prix in P3.
Hamilton and Mercedes didn’t have any advantage over McLaren. McLaren is the only car after the upgrades that can match with Red Bull. It’s getting frustrating for Mercedes with McLaren and Mercedes getting away with everything. Hamilton had his first pole after the 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and still, he came short in the first corner of Hungary, with both the McLarens overtaking him at the same time and he came P4 by the end of the first Lap.
Record broken but trophy gets broken too
For the second time this season, Lando was on the top step and he was ecstatic as he performed his signature move of popping open the champagne bottle. However, he had no idea that by doing so, he would damage the magnificent and labour-intensive prize that belonged to the two-time world champion. Lando Norris popped the champagne in celebration of his P2 finish. But as he did, he dropped his champagne, which caused Max’s winner’s trophy to fall off the top step and break into two pieces.
Verstappen brilliantly handled his car in a close race with the opposition to secure the record-breaking 12th straight victory for Red Bull Racing. He won the Hungarian Grand Prix for an incredible 7th time in a row to take home the lovely trophy. However, a calamity struck the Dutchman as McLaren’s Lando Norris followed him to the podium in P2. After becoming aware of the incident, McLaren tweeted an apology to Verstappen and Red Bull Racing, to which Red Bull Racing responded, “Record broken. Trophy broken.”
