The 2023 F1 season has proved to be a one-man show, with Max Verstappen winning his tenth consecutive race this year. However, the Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and Toto Wolff were not very impressed by it in Monza and downplayed his success, which has not sat well with the renowned F1 analyst Martin Brundle.

He ardently believes that Max Verstappen deserves a lot of appreciation for the tremendous job that he has done this year and feels that Lewis Hamilton and Toto Wolff should also wholeheartedly come forward and praise the 25-year-old. During Mercedes’s glory days, their names were hyped immensely, and Brundle believes Verstappen also deserves to be appreciated in the same way.

While talking about the same, he told Skysports (H&T: Crash.net), “I was a little surprised and disappointed that Lewis Hamilton and Toto Wolff played down this achievement over the weekend, because they rightly received their due reverence and appreciation during their years of total domination from 2014 to 2020.”

He added, “If a tennis player or football or rugby team for example was so utterly complete and dominant, they would rightly be globally lauded at the highest level. As should this pairing be. Sport can and should be tribal, but you must surely also appreciate a level of excellence in others.”

While Martin Brundle is a bit disappointed with Toto Wolff and Lewis Hamilton over their recent actions, Red Bull, on the other hand, does not bother itself with the opinions of others. Christian Horner and Co. are only focused on what is in their hands and are unwilling to leave any stone unturned in continuing their dominant run.

Max Verstappen has been in tremendous form behind the wheel of the RB19, and seeing his consistent performances, Red Bull will have a serious go at trying to triumph in all 23 races this year. The current F1 season is 14 rounds down, and the Milton-Keynes-based team only has eight hurdles in front of them to create an unprecedented record.

If Red Bull can win all the Grand Prix events this year, they will forever have their name written in the history books. The dawn of the new Formula 1 regulations has kick-started the Red Bull era, and it will likely last until 2026, when the next set of regulation changes are slated to kick in.
