The announcement of Lewis Hamilton‘s move to Ferrari in 2025 was made on February 1. It surprised the whole F1 garage and the reigning champion Max Verstappen wasn’t spared as well. He was amused by his arch-rival’s move. Later after the Red Bull car launch event, Verstappen cautioned Hamilton about the tough 2024 season he is going to have at Mercedes.

The current world champion believes that Hamilton will not be able to attend certain meetings and will not receive all the information from Toto Wolff and the team. He added that the team withholding information from him for the first time will make him uncomfortable.

To announce something so big so early in the season, it is clear that for the rest of the year, it is going to be uncomfortable. He also admitted that his willingness to revive his rivalry with Hamilton in the future, as he has no intention of changing places at this time.

Max Verstappen believes that Lewis Hamilton’s move to Ferrari is ideal

Even though the current world champion is unaware of what’s happening inside Mercedes, Hamilton, and Ferrari, he believes that this could be a childhood dream come true for Hamilton. The Englishman has been linked to Ferrari on multiple occasions in the past, Verstappen believes this could be the beginning of a new chapter in the seven-time world champion’s life.

I mean, at the end of the day, if someone wants to drive for Ferrari, and especially someone like Lewis, you know having achieved so much, if that’s his dream and goal. If he is happy with that move then you should go. I think it will look cool. And of course, I hope for them that it’s going to be a success.
