Max Verstappen has the most passionate and dedicated fans who proudly call themselves the ‘Orange Army’. These fans are so dedicated that they travel all around the world wearing orange and show their support to the Dutch driver at every single race. Formula 1 and Zandvoort have come together to make a deal to host the Dutch GP until 2025.c

After returning to the F1 calendar in 2021, fans were losing their minds. The atmosphere that Dutch fans had created was mesmerizing. All of Zandvoort was filled with orange. Max Verstappen and his legion of supporters managed to surprise everyone else. Last year, the Red Bull driver went on to win the race by a 20-second gap to Lewis Hamilton and sent the circuit into a frenzy.

The 2022 Dutch GP result was not at all surprising for the Orange army as Verstappen went on to demolish the competition and grab P1 from George Russell. With Zandvoort having a 3-year deal already, Formula 1 decided to extend it until 2025. Here is what F1 CEO Stephano Domenicali had to say about it.

Here is what Stephano Domenicali had to say about the extension. “The Dutch Grand Prix has quickly established itself on the calendar as a fan favourite, bringing incredible energy and a great fan experience every year. The sold-out events in the last two years have raised the bar in terms of organisation, entertainment, and sustainability, and we are delighted to extend our relationship with them,” he said.

“There is huge demand to host F1 races so it is testament to what the team have done to cement Zandvoort on the calendar until 2025, and we can’t wait to return next summer,” he continued.

The 2023 F1 season will be interesting with Ferrari possibly coming under new leadership and Red Bull and Max trying to win their third title in a row. With the Mercedes resurgence taking place in the last two races of 2022, it will be interesting to see how their pace will be next season. The Dutch GP atmosphere on the other hand will never change with the passionate fans that it attracts.
