Max Verstappen joins forces with iconic Dutch brand Heineken ahead of the 2023 F1 Season

Max Verstappen, the Red Bull Racing driver, was announced as the global ambassador of Heineken. The Dutchman has yet another role to perform. With this new partnership comes new responsibilities. The two-time Formula One world champion will promote the “When You Drive, Never Drink” campaign. They aim to target younger fans and create awareness for responsible drinking. The Heineken 0.0 is a non-alcohol brand focusing on responsible consumption.
The Dutch duo will capture the next generation’s interest through fun-filled activities. Heineken and Verstappen revealed their new game, “Player 0.0”. They took to social media to announce the launch of this virtual racing game. They have come up with an interesting concept for the winner, the fans will get an opportunity to race against the best drivers in the world.
Max Verstappen deems the partnership as a special opportunity to represent the Netherlands. He said, “Being from the Netherlands myself, it is something truly special to partner up with an iconic Dutch Brand like Heineken. People who know me, know that I am very determined and as a driver, I do not want to leave any room for error.”

Max Verstappen to set an example for the younger generation
“That’s why I am excited to become a part of the When You Drive, Never Drink campaign to help raise awareness for responsible consumption. And being an avid gamer and passionate Sim Racer myself, I’m thrilled to be playing a part in the new gaming initiative being developed called Player 0.0.” The goal is to provide pure entertainment and engage with the fans while promoting the brand.
According to Bram Westenbrink, the Head of Heineken, Verstappen is a Dutch global icon deemed the perfect brand ambassador. It is no secret that Verstappen is passionate about sim racing, he recently even got a sim racing set-up installed in his private jet. His on and off-track love for racing has been inspiring.
Heineken is already familiar with Formula One. It can be traced back to 2016, when they signed a five-year contract with the sport. They now declared their partnership with Red Bull Racing as well. Christian Horner said he was excited about adding Heineken as their global partner.
Horner hopes that this will help them progress even further. This pairing is to ensure that fans across the world are kept entertained and walk down the right path. The upcoming Formula one season is just 2 weeks away, and the Dutch duo has promised the fans some wild entertainment coming their way.
