Max Verstappen has been way ahead of the 2023 F1 grid this season in terms of points and raw pace. With the RB-19 under his helm, the Dutchman has gone onto great heights whilst breaking multiple records. Last year, the Red Bull driver broke the record for the most wins in a season. This year, it is quite possible that the 2 time F1 world champion will be able to break his own record again.

Out of the 10 races that have taken place so far, Red Bull has won all of them. Sergio Perez has won twice in Jeddah and Baku respectively. Meanwhile, Max Verstappen has won eight races this year. With 13 races left to go, there is still much more in store for the Dutchman to showcase before the season ends. While he does have a contract with the team until 2028, it has become a possibility that the Dutchman could leave early to pursue other ventures in racing.

In an interview, here is what Max Verstappen had to say. “I do like racing, I do like winning. I know that of course with the salary and everything you have a good life. But is it actually a good life? I think sometimes you get to a point in your career where maybe you want to do other stuff. And I know that I have a contract until the end of ’28 and then we’ll review again. But I do feel that if it’s getting at one point too much then it’s time for a change,” the 2 time world champion stated.

In the last few years, Max Verstappen’s win tally has been increasing at an alarming rate. All thanks to his talent and Red Bull’s stellar performance. This has placed him fifth on the all time wins list. Sebastian Vettel is in third place with 53 wins. Seems like a target that Verstappen could beat this year too. Such has been the blistering pace of the bulls. After all his success in the sport, it seems like the Dutchman could call it quits earlier than expected.

It will be interesting to see if Max Verstappen can put in yet another dominant performance in Hungary. With Lando Norris and McLaren looking strong at Silverstone, a similar case could take place this week during the grand prix weekend. While no one has come close to catching up with the bulls, it will be great to see what others are capable off. It will surely require a lot of work and ignorance of the 2024 challenger.
