Max Verstappen, the reigning world champion, has been sparkling his magic at the pinnacle of motor racing for several years. Since 2022, he has proved to be nothing short of brilliant, and amidst his ever-growing stature in the sport, he has taken the time to talk about where F1 will be in 10 years.
F1 has evolved massively in the last few years and has kept on coming up with surprises now and then. To put things into perspective, the Sprint race format was nowhere to be seen during the past decades and has only come into the limelight in the last few years.
Max Verstappen has been racing in F1 since 2015 and understands in what direction the sport is heading. He was recently asked to give his opinion on the state of the sport in 10 years and while talking about the same, he told Blick;
The petrol will probably be gone. But our sport is already becoming greener and more sustainable. Only one thing is certain: Max Verstappen will no longer be there!

The Dutchman has made it known that petrol is one thing that will most probably vanish from F1 in ten years and he has also indicated with certainty that he will no longer be seen racing in the sport.
Max Verstappen is contracted to Red Bull until the end of 2028
While Max Verstappen has indicated that he will not be seen racing in F1 in 10 years, his current deal with the Red Bull Formula 1 team runs until the end of the 2028 season. The 26-year-old has still five years remaining at the pinnacle of motor racing and has every chance of securing quite a few titles.
Verstappen has won all the driver’s championships since 2021 and is the firm favorite to win again during the 2024 campaign. He has proved too mighty under the current set of regulations and thus, several pundits believe that he is the man who could break Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher‘s long-standing F1 record.

Max Verstappen is considered as one of the best drivers to have ever stepped foot into the world of F1. He has all the skills in his ever-evolving arsenal and the way he is going, it would not come as a huge surprise if somewhere down the line he is seen lifting a record-breaking eighth world title.
