Max Verstappen and Sebastian Vettel

Max Verstappen has been driving at the peak of his powers off late. This reminds us of the dominant Sebastian Vettel in his heyday. While the German has decided to leave the sport at the end of the season, Max has picked up the baton. The Dutchman has become the face of Red Bull as he continues to demolish records in his wake. Going by the way the Dutchman is driving, it looks like he could become Red Bull’s most successful driver.

In 2022, Max already has won 11 races out of the 16 and currently enjoys a whopping 116 points lead over arch rival, Charles Leclerc. The Flying Dutchman looks set to have a 400 point season, which has only happened twice in a season. Lewis Hamilton is the proud holder of this record, having done it in 2018 and 2019. Max would definitely want to break Lewis Hamilton’s record this season.

It doesn’t matter if he breaks the record or not, it’s almost confirmed that he will be crowned the F1 world champion for the second year running. It’s been a cakewalk for Max this season around when compared to last year. He had to fight tooth and nail to score even a single point in 2021. Despite being close to winning a second world championship, Max has his feet on the ground.

We have to enjoy them while they last. I think should never lose the passion and the enjoy and remember the days when you were dreaming of these things to happen.”

“At the time, your goal is Formula 1, so of course you’re enjoying what you’re achieving, but you also think there’s such a long way still left before you get to Formula 1.”

Max Verstappen has dropped some jaw dropping performances this season around. But, his calmness off the track has been equally impressive. Would Max be able to break Sebastian Vettel’s record of 4 championships in his career? Tell us in the comment section below.
