Max Verstappen has been having a phenomenal season so far. After winning the 2021 World Championship by beating Lewis Hamilton on the last lap, many thought that it was a fluke. Nevertheless, the Dutchman went on to prove his critics wrong and win his second championship title during the Japanese Grand Prix itself. Moving onto 2023, it seems pretty clear as to how prone the Red Bull driver is towards grabbing yet another title.

Despite Max Verstappen’s successful season, the Dutchman has made it pretty clear about his intentions for the team. The Red Bull racer has a contract with the team until 2028. After that, there is a high possibility that Max will retire from the sport to pursue other hobbies. The Dutch driver has been a prominent sim racer. However, Christian Horner feels that there’s more in the plan for Max, who has stated the same.

When asked about his future post-F1, here is what Max Verstappen had to say in an interview“I maybe want to have my own race team. I already, of course, started that a bit with Verstappen.com racing,” the 25-year-old explains. “So hopefully, in a few years’ time, we could see something coming out of that,” he stated. On the other hand, he has ruled out being a team principal. “It’s a lot of traveling, and you’ve already done that as a driver,” he says. “So I definitely don’t want to do it again as a team principal,” he stated.

Max Verstappen has been on a roll lately. He has won his 6th consecutive F1 race this year. If this keeps on going, he might be able to beat Sebastian Vettel’s record of. 9 consecutive wins set in 2013. It was also a back-to-back hat trick for the young hotshot. Out of the 610 laps that have taken place in the 2023 F1 season so far, Max has led 467 laps so far which is way more than the whole F1 grid combined.

In the 2023 F1 season alone, Max Verstappen and Red Bull have shown a dominant display of performance so far. In the 10 races that have taken place, Sergio Perez has won two whilst Max has gone on to win the other eight. The Energy drinks squad has been untouched pretty much the whole time. This in turn had given Max the opportunity to have a comfortable lead in the championship standings.
