Max Verstappen might be viewed by his fans as the all-powerful Formula One World Champion who crushed Lewis Hamilton‘s streak. For his first F1 title, he went up against a seven-time title winner and still came out victorious at the finale in Abu Dhabi. But outside of the race track, Max is a young racer who fell in love with Formula 1 ever since he saw his father Jos Verstappen contest with the likes of Michael Schumacher in the elite class of motorsports. And thus, even when he is not in the cockpit of his Red Bull ‘rocketship’, he goes on the simulator and streams some of his sessions on Twitch.

But Max does have a life away from racing that he has to look after. The Dutchman is currently dating Kelly Piquet, the Brazilian model and daughter of three-time World Champion Nelson Piquet. She has a daughter, Penelope Kvyat, from her previous relationship with another Red Bull racer, Daniil Kvyat. Max also has a giant family with a sister, Victoria and three younger half-siblings.

Whenever Max Verstappen gets too engrossed in his racing games, it is Kelly who makes sure he remembers to devote time to other things too. During his Time Magazine interview, Kelly chimed in with how she tries to restrict Max’s ‘playtime’.

Max Verstappen mentioned how his relationship with Kelly Piquet’s daughter has flourished

The it couple Formula 1 is currently Dutch racer Max Verstappen and his Brazilian girlfriend Kelly Piquet. The two of them have appeared together on the social media posts plenty of times, alongwith Kelly’s daughter Penelope. But Max Verstappen has recently said that he has never tried to be a father to the four-year-old girl. He also feels that it is important for her to have Daniil Kvyat, her biological father, in her life.

I’m not the father, that’s not the aim. It’s always very important that she has a good relationship with her own father, which she has. But I see her every day when I’m at home. We get on very well. She’s very cute.

Max Verstappen has already won 17 out of the 20 Grands Prix that have been held in the current F1 season. He is yet to appear at the last two races, with the Las Vegas GP happening later this week. It remains to be seen if he can maintain his winning streak even further with the harsh cold climate of Las Vegas posing a huge challenge to the drivers.
