Max Verstappen is one of the most talented drivers in Formula 1, if not the most, and his performances have been a reflection of that ever since he joined Red Bull. The youngster was close to signing for Mercedes but Red Bull jumped in at the right moment and the rest is history. The Dutchman made his debut with Scuderia Toro Rosso at the Australian GP in 2015 partnering Carlos Sainz.

But, he made the jump to Red Bull at the age of 18, which is a dream for any Scuderia Toro Rosso driver. After making the jump, it was important for him to make it stick which is not the easiest task as we saw with the likes of Alex Albon and Pierre Gasly. Both are very talented driver who were doing well for their respective teams but just couldn’t handle the pressure of driving for a top team like Red Bull.

Max Verstappen was in no mood of messing around as he became the youngest driver to win a Grand Prix. The reigning world champion won his first ever race with Red Bull in Spain. He didn’t look back after that but we saw him coming into his own last season when he gave Lewis Hamilton a run for his money and eventually got the better off the Mercedes legend by winning his first world champion.

Exactly after this, Red Bull decided to renew his contract till 2028. We expected him to drive in F1 much more than that but it might not be the case.

In a recent interview he said, “I want to do other types of races — endurance racing, for example. Maybe I will have had enough of travelling all the time. Maybe I will want an easier life and just to do the races I like.”

“Whenever an opportunity comes to win a championship, you want to take it. If I am in a fight in 2028 it may be stupid to suddenly stop. It is difficult to know,” as reported by gpblog.

Max Verstappen has brought that spark back into Formula 1 by putting a halt to the era of dominance of Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes, and it’ll be a big loss if he decides to leave in 2028.
