The 2023 Japanese GP has proved to be a special event for the Red Bull Formula 1 team. With Max Verstappen’s thirteenth-season victory, Red Bull has secured the Constructors Championship with several races remaining on the calendar. Now Lewis Hamilton‘s Mercedes has acknowledged their triumph and admitted that they will do everything possible to get the jump on them next year.
The Milton-Keynes-based team has been nothing short of sensational this year and has pretty much operated in a league of its own. Singapore was a surprise event for them, but other than that, they have been on top of their game. Max Verstappen has brilliantly led the team’s charge, and amidst their rise, Mercedes has vowed to come out all guns blazing next year.
The Toto Wolff-led team, via its official X account, has made it known, “Congratulations to Red Bull on your Constructors’ Championship. You’ve set the standard for everybody else to aim at this year. We’ll be giving it everything to bring the fight in 2024.” While Mercedes is a bit dejected with how 2023 has panned out for them, they have acknowledged the might of Red Bull.
Congratulations to Red Bull on your Constructors' Championship ?

The RB19 has proved to be a beast this year, and Mercedes’s W14 has fallen massively short compared to it. Considering this, everyone at the Brackley-based team is determined to return to the Championship fight during the 2024 F1 season. But it will not be easy displacing Horner and Co. off of their F1 pedestal.
Mercedes hasn’t been able to produce a Championship-worthy car since 2021
During the turbo hybrid era of the pinnacle of motor racing, Mercedes was the out-and-out top dog in the sport. None of its rivals could pose a stiff challenge in front of them, but since the dawn of the new regulations, they have slipped backward on the grid. 2021 was the last year when the German team was in the Championship battle.
While Mercedes managed to win the Constructors Championship because of the efforts of Lewis Hamilton and former driver Valtteri Bottas, the former lost out on the driver’s title under shady circumstances. Since then, it has been nothing short of a massive struggle for Mercedes, keeping in mind the lofty standards they set until 2021.

The 2023 Japanese GP is now out of the way, and only six races remain on the calendar. The workaround for next year’s car has already begun at Mercedes, and taking into account the brutal words that Wolff and Co. have used around their 2023 car, next year will be an extremely fascinating watch from the perspective of the Mercedes faithful.
