“Never say never,” Max Verstappen drops massive hints regarding his future after the Red Bull deal ends

Max Verstappen came to Formula 1 in 2015 when he got signed by Red Bull’s then B team Scuderia Torro Rosso and was partnered alongside Carlos Sainz. The youngest driver to race in the sport further went on the break the record for being the youngest to score points impressing a lot of critics. During the 2015 season, the Dutch driver managed two p4 finishes with a Torro Rosso which was very commendable and was a testament to the talent and skills that the young gun had in him.
Red Bull decided to promote Max Verstappen to the main team in 2016 where he won on his debut race with them and also became the youngest race winner in Formula 1. After all these years, Verstappen has still stuck with the same team that gave him his big break and has achieved a lot of success.
30 wins and one world championship is a pretty good tally in my opinion. And we need not say but the second world title seems to be coming their way very soon. The Dutch driver has put in an exceptional performance this season which has made him hot property in the driver’s market but alas, he has signed with Red Bull Racing till 2028.
Max and Red Bull are a match made in heaven and this is just the start of what’s to come. With 2022 being his 7th year with the team, there are many more years left as per the contract that he has signed.
Although in an interview, Max Verstappen revealed his plans for the sport after 2028 which would drop every fan’s jaw. When asked about a possible move to Ferrari, this is what the Red Bull racing driver had to say about it –

“Never say never, but now I have a contract with Red Bull until 2028. I’m fine here. Let‘s see what happens after 2028. Maybe I’ll have already retired,” he said.
Driving for Ferrari is what every F1 driver has had in their mind whether they say it publicly or not. Max Verstappen and Ferrari would be an interesting combo. The orange fans mixing up with the red fans would effectively mean that Max would end up having the largest fanbase compared to any sportsperson.
