Towards the beginning of 2022, just ahead of the start of this year’s Formula 1 season, Russian F1 driver Nikita Mazepin‘s contract was cancelled by his employee team, Haas, in the midst of the Ukraine-Russia tension because Formula 1 did not want to be associated with Russia in any manner. Since his high-profile exit from the highest league of motorsports, Mazepin has had a keen watch over F1 and is biding his time before he can make a comeback into the sport once again.

Nikita Mazepin had never spoken out against his team even after they had dismissed him as he only sat for a few interviews since he was let go of by Haas. But now, the 23-year-old racer has got some vengeful words on his former teammate Mick Schumacher, which suggest that Nikita Mazepin is not happy to be sacked from the team at all.

Mick Schumacher, who entered his debut year in Formula 1 after winning the F2 World Championship in 2020. Since Schumacher has already been in F1 for a year, it is only expected of him to fill in the shoes of his father, the legendary seven-time F1 World Champion Michael Schumacher, and start performing to the best of his abilities. But till date, the young German has been unable to score a single point for his team.

While talking about Mick Schumacher’s disappointing 2022 F1 campaign so far, Nikita Mazepin said to the Russian outlet Le Championat, “Mick? His results speak for themselves – there is nothing to add.

Fans naturally believe Nikita Mazepin is upset after he was let go from F1 in a shocking manner alongwith Haas’ Russian sponsor Uralkali. But when asked if he holds some grudges against a few personnel at F1 for the untimely severance of his contract, he said, “I don’t want to complain. I have a wonderful family, 23 years old and I hope my sports career is still far from ending.”
