Max Verstappen’s exceptional performance in 2023 has been the talk of the racing world and headlines. Verstappen has clinched 12 out of 15 race victories, an unprecedented run of 10 consecutive wins. This surpasses Sebastian Vettel‘s decade-old record of nine consecutive victories. Vettel passionately encourages fans to relish every moment of Max’s dominance, emphasizing the significance of witnessing this historic achievement.

Toto Wolff, the Mercedes boss, initially downplayed Max Verstappen’s record-breaking spree, dismissing it as insignificant. He remarked, “I don’t know if [Verstappen] cares about the records. It is not something that would be important for me, those numbers.” However, his choice of words drew criticism, and he later admitted his phrasing might not have been the wisest.

Sebastian Vettel had a different perspective on Max Verstappen’s remarkable achievements. He stated, “I think people don’t like watching the same driver win.” He emphasized the cyclical nature of success in Formula 1, mentioning legendary names like Lewis Hamilton, himself, Mika Hakkinen, and Michael Schumacher, all of whom have ruthlessly dominated the sport.

Vettel continued, “So, I think it’s part of the sport. But it’s really you should be lucky that you’re able to witness history in the making. And what Max pulled off this year is amazing.” The German further praised Max, acknowledging his phenomenal season, saying, “His car is amazing, but even more so it’s his efforts. He didn’t do a mistake, so you can’t give him enough credit.”

Bee hotels, designed to provide nesting and breeding sanctuaries for these crucial pollinators, were also part of this unique project. Vettel’s goal is to create a buzz, literally and figuratively, emphasizing the essential role of bees in environmental preservation. All the drivers and the team principals have shown up supporting this cause.

As the Japanese GP draws near, Red Bull and Max are expected to bounce back after a challenging Singapore GP. The Dutchman could potentially clinch his third title this weekend, along with Red Bull’s sixth constructors title. Such ruthless domination hasn’t been anything new to the sport. As mentioned by Vettel, this had been the cynical nature of the F1.
