Mercedes is not off to a decent start this season, and the reason is believed to be its W15. The car that was supposed to be a potent machinery and the one to help the team bring back its glory is now pushing the team’s future into total darkness. With each passing week, the car is becoming agonizingly difficult for the drivers to drive.
However, the team principal of the Mercedes, Toto Wolff, believes that the car could perform as per expectations if the team takes steps in the right direction. Whether it’s sheer optimism or an analyzed approach, this is where Toto Wolff and Lewis Hamilton have different opinions.
Ted Kravitz, an F1 journalist, gave a brief insight on the same on his ‘Ted’s Notebook Show.’
I think Lewis Hamilton thinks it's cursed with the same bad handing characteristics in the rear of the car that last year's car - and the car the year before it - had as well. Clearly, this car is still not right.Ted Kravitz said Via SkySports
Mercedes didn’t have much luck with their previous challengers. This year they had high expectations with the W15, which has now turned into an unbearable headache. The team is working hard to understand and resolve its fundamental issues.

After the Australian GP, it seems the Mercedes boss has his eyes set on a particular Spaniard.
The ones that are available, or that could be interesting for us, they all have arguments in favour of them. Be it the very young ones, be it the very mature ones in the best years. Or Carlos.Toto Wolff said in an interview with racingnews365.com
