Formula One is far from how the fans often view it. While it may look like an individual sport since it is the driver who gets the prize in the end, there are a massive group of people present in the driver’s team, who back him up. And one of the closest of those people who always has to work in tandem with the racer is his teammate–the other driver who is recruited under the same team. In Red Bull, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez are teammates–and now, it seems they might be even closer to each other than fans often assume.

At the very end of the 2020 season, while Sergio Perez was still on the lookout for a seat in F1 and his future was quite uncertain as his contract with Racing Point came to an end, the Mexican got a call from the Red Bull Racing team to pair up with Max Verstappen for the next year. Verstappen can be a beast behind the car, and it is very apparent that being his teammate is a very demanding job as Daniel Ricciardo, Pierre Gasly, and even Alex Albon had to quit. But Sergio Perez has seemed like the perfect fit ever since he joined RB.

Perez’s driving skills have earned worldwide recognition as he won Grands Prix with Red Bull and defended Max Verstappen from being attacked by his title rivals with his masterful precision. And off the track, Max and Checo are the best of mates as well. That is why, at a recent fan event, Verstappen’s claim that the two had showered together, seemed to surprise none of the fans!

Since the current F1 2022 season is coming to an end with only two races left in the roster, the teams are wrapping up the year with a final round of press interviews. Recently, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez appeared at a fan event sponsored by brands like Claro, Telcel and Infinitum. There, one of the reporters questioned the two Red Bull drivers to tell people about a special moment the two had shared as teammates.

Max Verstappen seized the opportunity to talk about the shower they had taken together last week. His confession was followed by a round of laughter, and the clip made it online, where frenzied fans commented all sorts of funny things on the video–

In other news, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez have brought Red Bull their first World Championship title since 2013 in this current season. And according to all the F1 pundits, even though Mercedes and Ferrari have vowed to step up the game and aim for the title win next year, it will be difficult for them to beat Red Bull as both Verstappen and Perez seem to be in the best forms of their career right now.
