Most of the Formula 1 racers come off as massive adrenaline junkies who engage in frightening yet thrilling activities like bungee jumping and river rafting. But McLaren recruit Lando Norris is no regular F1 driver as he also enjoys dabbling with the turntable at the nightclubs, playing golf, and even cooking some delicacies for himself and his friends. But now, fans have suddenly unearthed a video from back in March of 2023 that shows that Lando might have tried his hands at acquiring another new skill, thanks to his Olympic swimmer friend Tom Daley.
British swimmer and diver Tom Daley has achieved huge feats at a very young age because of his outstanding talent. The 29-year-old has an Olympic gold medal as well as four Commonwealth Championships to his name. But he is mostly iconic because he was spotted time and again, sitting by the pool at the Olympic Stadium, killibg his time by knitting before his performance came up. In response to his knitting clips going viral, Daley launched an initiative called ‘Made With Love by Tom Daley’. And as a part of it, he taught Lando, his friend, how to knit a sweater.
Given his fame as one of Britain’s most prominent racecar drivers, it is no surprise that Lando Norris is friends with the who’s-who in the athletic circle of his country. Lando and Daley did a podcast episode together and then they practised some knitting together.

While Tom Daley might be Lando Norris’ Olympic gold medalist friend, the McLaren driver has also got an international DJ as his friend too. He recently went on a tour to Bali, Indonesia with Billboard chart-topping EDM artist Martin Garrix and posted several photos from there. The papaya army racer seemed to sport quite a tan as he shared his photos in a traditional sarung and fans mistook him for Lewis Hamilton.
In another picture that Lando Norris shared, he was seen sporting some cool shades as he stood on the edge of an infinity pool beside Martin Garrix. The two met through their mutual friend Max Verstappen as Garrix hails from the same country as the current F1 Champion.
In other news, Lando Norris is now back to base, gearing up for a fantastic 2024 F1 season where he will hopefully get his first Grand Prix victory. The racer has currently tied with Nick Heidfeld for the record of most number of F1 podiums without a single race victory (13). It remains to be seen if Lando finally breaks free of his ‘Lando NoWins’ curse or if he takes his podium count further without winning any race in the upcoming year.
