‘Top Gun’ Tom Cruise arrives at British GP to show support for Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes

The British Grand Prix is hailed by all as one of the most famous races in the F1 Calendar, and thus, it naturally attracts a lot of celebrities who drop by the historic Silverstone Circuit in support of their favorite racers. And just when fans were busy reminiscing the time when Tom Cruise of Mission Impossible fame visited the Mercedes pitbox last year to cheer for his friend Lewis Hamilton, the 60-year-old A-lister made another appearance at the F1 paddocks today–to celebrate his birthday while watching the British GP!
In the hours building up to the much-awaited race in Silverstone, fans were keeping their eagle eyes on the F1 paddocks to spot any celebrity who might drop by to watch the Grand Prix. And sure enough, they were rewarded with the sight of none other than 3-time Academy Award Tom Cruise himself! Frenzied F1 followers quickly started tweeting about his arrival at Silverstone and blew up Twitter with their gushes about the veteran actor.

While it is no surprise to see a few celebrities out and about the F1 paddocks every time the teams arrive at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix, the fans were overwhelmed to see Tom Cruise there on his 60th birthday! The actor has previously been associated with F1 quite frequently as he had tested a Red Bull Formula 1 car a few years back and he also appeared to support Lewis Hamilton in last year’s 2021 British Grand Prix where the Briton clinched the race win.

If Tom Cruise does prove to be Lewis Hamilton’s lucky charm, then the Mercedes racer might win at Silverstone again this year, thus creating a new World Record for being the only F1 racer with the highest number of victories at a single race track.
