Things are still in a turmoil in the F1 world as fans are reeling from the cancellation of the Imola Grand Prix. As the weather conditions kept worsening steadily ahead of the race weekend, the concerned authorities decided it was not conducive to organize a race in such plight. Thus, even though the F1 circus had already reached in Imola for the race weekend, preparations for the impending Grand Prix got stalled and all he teams were directed to leave the grounds because of the terrible weather in the Emilia Romagna region.

Now, Italy is home to two Formula 1 teams–the Scuderia Ferrari and the Scuderia AlphaTauri. The latter’s base is in Faenza, which is close to the flood-impacted area. Thus, the AlphaTauri team personnel were faced with some extra challenges as their Headquarters had to bear the brunt of the grave situation. Taking to his Instagram wall, Nyck deVries even gave an account of how he got stuck in a little village with no accomodation facilities due to the weather.

In other news, Yuki’s teammate Nyck deVries has been given an ultimatum by Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko. As AlphaTauri is Red Bull’s sister team, their recruitments are overseen by the Austrian, and he is not happy with the results that deVries have yielded in the first five F1 races of his Formula One career as a regular driver. Now, it remains to be seen whether deVries improves in the subsequent races, or if Marko replaces him with some other potential option.
