Christian Horner has had the honour of leading a championship winning team for multiple years. Recently, Red Bull’s success and dominance in the pinnacle of motorsport has led to the team bagging a plethora of American sponsors. Oracle is one of their most prominent sponsors who pay them about hundred million dollars every year for title sponsorship.

During their car reveal for the 2023 F1 Season, Red Bull announced yet another lucrative partnership. American Automaker Ford will be partnering up with Red Bull for the 2026 F1 season. Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez already got to try some of Ford’s electric vehicle fleet. With that being said, the call for another race in the United States seems imminent.

Christian Horner believes that a race in New York which is one of the busiest cities in the world would be great. F1 already has three US races on the 2023 calendar with them being Miami, Texas and Las Vegas. With the sport’s massively growing popularity in America, the addition of a fourth race seems like a good idea. It’s already very rare for a country to host more than three F1 races in a single season.

In an interview with Daily Mail, here is what the Red Bull team boss had to say. “It would be amazing,” Horner said when asked if he would like to see a race in New York. “Racing in big cities in the US is really exciting. A race here in the Big Apple, for example, what a spectacle that would be. You can never say never to a fourth race in America,” Horner continued.

“We’ve got other North American races as well, with Montreal, and there’s certainly demand for it, so why not? It’s great that there’s that much interest in Formula One in the US,” he said. We’re fortunate to race in great venues, whether it’s the street circuit of Miami, or the track in Austin. Vegas this year is going to be an absolutely insane event too,” he concluded.

With Formula 1, being more prominent in the United States, the need for a fourth race seems imminent. However, with the added amount of races On that Formula 1 calendar, it will become difficult for the crew members and drivers to cope with the mental strain . Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen have also said that it would be too much. Christian Horner on the other hand is ready to welcome America with open arms.
