The Bahrain GP has been a rollercoaster for Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. Leclerc, despite scoring the fastest lap, qualified P2 for the main race and was disappointed. As the race progressed, The Monegasque committed multiple mistakes down the laps and sabotaged his P2 start at the Bahrain GP. Sainz has a decent drive off the start and is currently in P3.

Charles Leclerc locked up his brakes on multiple occasions and this caused Carlos Sainz to close in on his teammate. The two had been fighting it out to overtake one another and lead the other teammate. However, with Leclerc’s multiple mistakes, Sainz had a somewhat ease in overtaking his teammate. Regardless, the two provided great racing action whilst trying to overtake one another. Sparks flew from their cars as they went into the braking zone.

With Carlos Sainz being ousted from Ferrari following Lewis Hamilton‘s move to Maranello by 2025, this is exactly what the Spaniard needs. Sainz needs to prove his racing mettle by scoring better results than Leclerc at Maranello. Finally, the 29-year-old overtook Leclerc and is currently on the trajectory to score a podium finish in the race. Regardless, the Monegasque is also fighting it out on the track to regain places by the end of the race.

Leclerc might have some issues with braking as the driver hasn’t had this many lockups in previous races. Post-race interviews and data would provide a clear view of what the 26-year-old was going through during the race. Regardless, the two Ferrari drivers are P3 and P4 which would likely provide an intense battle towards the end of the race.

Carlos Sainz is currently seatless and hence he needs to perform on his A-game. The Spaniard’s performance down the season, especially against his teammate Leclerc is crucial. Following the 29-year-old’s performance, he can score a seat at some other pristine team in the pinnacle of motorsport. Regardless, the driver is also eyeing to provide a timeline to secure a contract with another team.
