Ferrari racer Charles Leclerc is currently in Maranello for the testing session of their 2024 challenger. The previous season in Formula 1 did not turn out to be as successful as the Tifosis would have liked. Despite Carlos Sainz getting a Grand Prix win at the Singapore GP, the Scuderia were defeated by Mercedes by only 3 points as they failed to capture the second spot on the World Championship. Now, the onus is on Ferrari to develop a racecar that is worthy of winning the Championship title.

After spending some time off the tracks and away from work, Ferrari racer Charles Leclerc was spotted in Maranello recently. It is obvious that the Monegasque is in town to report at the headquarters of Ferrari where the engineers are currently hard at work to develop a stunning racecar. Leclerc has a lot of expectations to live up to since the Ferrari fans have always regarded him as their Championship hope ever since the 26-year-old joined the team back in 2019. In just his first year with the Italian outfit, he wowed with a resounding victory at the Belgian GP.

As of now, Charles Leclerc has won 5 Grands Prix as a Ferrari recruit. And to commemorate all those victories, a Tifosa recently presented Leclerc with a bracelet that carries tokens to denote each of his Grand Prix wins. Charles Leclerc was elated at receiving the gift and he quickly put it on his wrist. And then, he addressed the fan and said in Italian, “Grazie mille! (Thank you so much!)”. The clip showing the warm exchange between Leclerc and the Tifosa was posted on the social media site X and it quickly went viral.

Charles Leclerc was named as one of Max Verstappen’s closest competitors by Helmut Marko

Red Bull’s Chief Advisor Helmut Marko only recently got a contract renewal with the Austrian outfit. And then, he let his opinions on his team’s current marqueé driver Max Verstappen be known to all. When he was asked about which one of the F1 racers might be Max’s closest rivals and why the Dutchman always gets the best of them, Marko answered without hesitation.

The 80-year-old said Max Verstappen can only be matched by two F1 racers on the current grid but they still fall short of catching up to the Dutchman because of inconsistency.

(Charles) Leclerc and (Lando) Norris are certainly exceptional talents. But both have shown weaknesses in consistency in the past. What's more, Max is not yet at the limit. He will get even better.

In other news, Helmut Marko and Christian Horner have been rumored to be at crossroads about key decisions regarding Red Bull. The internal fights between two of the biggest forces in the Austrian outfit have been the root to speculations regarding Helmut Marko’s exit from the team. But all those rumors got silenced when Marko was renewed by Red Bull for several more years to come.
