The 2024 Formula 1 season is underway with the initial two practice sessions concluding. The first session was topped by Daniel Ricciardo followed by Lewis Hamilton leading the second session. However, the sessions might not have been the best for Charles Leclerc. The Monegasque finished P8 and P9 in the two practice sessions respectively.
Hence, during the second practice session, the 26-year-old was visibly frustrated from driving on the track during traffic. Leclerc was not hesitant in showcasing his frustrations to his race engineer following the difficult practice session. The Monegasque initially highlighted how Lance Stroll cut him off at Turn 1. Subsequently, he ranted that this happened because the driver didn’t check his mirrors while driving.

Apart from this, Leclerc went on an X-rated rant against the drivers on the track during the session. Leclerc was visibly frustrated and had some comments involving abusive language against the drivers. The 26-year-old mentioned that all the drivers on the track were sleeping while driving. This comment was made since the driver was cut off multiple times during his hot lap on the track. Hence, following the difficult session, Leclerc alongside Ferrari looks ahead to the Qualifying session on Friday.

Charles Leclerc hopeful of challenging Red Bull at Bahrain GP
The Ferrari SF24 has been highly talked about by the entire squad at Maranello including Charles Leclerc. The driver previously mentioned that the car didn’t put forth any ‘unpleasant surprises’. Hence, the 2024 campaign will see a comfortable start to the season for the Italian constructor. Amidst this, Leclerc talked about the team’s capability of fighting against the dominant Max Verstappen down the season.

Leclerc previously won the Bahrain GP in 2022 and would be looking to repeat the same result his season.. The Monegasque mentioned that the team was strong on the track and would do absolutely everything to score his first win in almost two years. Hence, great competition between the front order of the grid is in the works for the first race of the season.
This is a track we’ve been strong [at] in the past and I hope we can challenge for the win. Of course, if there’s an opportunity we will do absolutely everything to take it.
Leclerc said, as reported by Formula 1.
Red Bull did not manage to lead any of the first two testing sessions much like Ferrari drivers. However, this might be due to Milton Keynes not pushing down the sessions. Hence, even Ferrari is unaware of the team’s capabilities yet. As such, fans would be looking forward to seeing how things pan out for Leclerc this weekend.
