In recent years, Formula 1 has grown into a massive global business with numerous partnerships with the biggest names in all kinds of industries. The franchise has become a household name ever since its takeover by the US-based Liberty Media Group, and thus, F1 can no longer be labelled as a close-off aristocratic sport that is only accessible to the richest people in Europe. And to advance F1’s initiatives to grow even further, a new karting circuit has taken birth below the White Heart Lane, which is famous for being home to the Tottenham Hotspurs.

As one of the most prominent names in the English Premiere League table, Tottenham Hotspurs got White Heart Lane as their own stadium in 2019. The ground is the result of a hugely ambitious £1 billion project. And now, it is going to become an even pricier affair as it houses two circuits–one for adults and one for children–underneath the South Stand. The karting circuit has been constructed in view of the 15-year deal between F1 and the Hotspurs. The track is the longest indoor track in all of England. The in-stadium karting facility has been named ‘F1 Drive’, as per Independent.co.uk.

F1 commentator David Croft recently took a tour of the place before it opens doors to the common public. It has also been reported that the karting facility will have custom sound effects borrowed from the racecars of Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, and it will also come with tips for the drivers from David Croft and Naomi Schiff themselves!

Formula One Management might be at crossroads with FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem

In recent times, there has been a lot of noise in F1 town regarding the seeming clash between Formula One Management and the FIA. And it is believed that the President of the rule-making body, Mohammed Ben Sulayem, is behind it all. Ben Sulayem has never held back while tweeting regarding controversial topics, and he had even claimed once that the price of the Formula 1 franchise is being overestimated. And then came the scenario where the FIA suddenly put Toto Wolff and Susie Wolff under investigation based on alleged baseless claims.

At the news of being placed under investigation by the FIA, Susie Wolff reacted viciously. She claimed there were misogynistic intents behind the allegations put up against her. After a few days, the investigation was called off just as abruptly as they had started. But these isolated events have led to speculations regarding cracks in the relationship between the Formula One Management and the FIA. It thus remains to be seen whether the two organizations will remain together in the upcoming future.
