Over the years, the Monaco Grand Prix in Monte Carlo has become some sort of a celebrity hotspot as it is frequented by the highest number of actors, directors, sports stars, and other famous people, than any other Grand Prix on the F1 calendar. And back in 2019, the glam quotient of the Monaco Grand Prix was turned up a notch as current Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo paid a visit to the Mercedes garage with his family. The undisputed king of football also met up with Lewis Hamilton, and the seven-time World Champion gave CR7’s son the chance to sit in the cockpit of Lewis’ Mercedes.

Fans went into a frenzy over the videos which were subsequently released all over the internet, showing Cristiano Ronaldo and Lewis Hamilton talking cheerfully as the Briton let Ronaldo’s son take a seat in his Mercedes W10. CR7 and his family showed up right before the second practice run during the Monaco GP weekend while Lewis was at work in the Mercedes garage, fixing his car before the showdown on Sunday. And then, Ronaldo and Hamilton also took photos together.

As Ronaldo, who was in Juventus at the time, had recently won his first Serie A title for his team, the footballer was already in Monaco and decided to go to the Grand Prix in Monte Carlo to meet up with his friend Lewis Hamilton. As one of the highest-paid athletes in the world, Lewis has friends in different fields of sports, and he was happy to host Ronaldo at the Mercedes garage on Thursday when he was trying out the new settings on his car.

With an all-access pass to the Mercedes pit, Ronaldo took his son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, for a meet-and-greet with the #44 racer, and that is when Hamilton gave Ronaldo’s son an exclusive experience of sitting inside his W10–which went on to win the Championship that year.
