“We have a few things in the pipeline for Silverstone”: Lando Norris hints at possible upgrades for McLaren ahead of British GP

Lando Norris
For McLaren Racing, the 2022 season of Formula 1 has not been a particularly smooth ride till now as we are nine races into this year’s F1 calendar. The Woking-based team had contested Scuderia Ferrari last year for the third spot in the Constructors’ Championship, but they have not been able to perform as they were expected to in this new season.
The updated regulations have not been kind to them and their McLaren MCL36 does not seem to be fast enough to compete with the likes of Red Bull, Ferrari or even Mercedes.
Even then, Lando Norris had tried his best to eek out whatever performance he could from the McLaren racecar, and he has already achieved a podium finish in the Monza Grand Prix. In Azerbaijan, McLaren fared comparatively better than their previous performances, with both Norris and his teammate Daniel Ricciardo scoring some points for the team but they fell back out of the top 10 zone in last week’s Canadian Grand Prix.
Lando Norris believes good things are coming McLaren’s way as the team will upgrade their car for British GP

While reviewing the season’s performance of McLaren till now, Lando Norris has revealed some crucial technical details about his car that might influence the British team’s position in the upcoming races. The 22-year-old said that McLaren was going to introduce a batch of updates for their car ahead of the team’s as well as Norris’ home Grand Prix in Silverstone.
While discussing the upgrades, Lando Norris stated, “We have a few things in the pipeline for Silverstone and I cannot wait to get out there, in front of our home fans.”
Lando also talked about his excitement ahead of the Silverstone Grand Prix, and he wrote in a column, “Just the drive into Silverstone is like nothing else, all that positive energy, from the marshals on the gates when you first arrive in the morning, to the fans waving union flags or wearing McLaren colours. You feed off the support. It makes a massive difference.”
