Charles Leclerc and Ferrari have been on the back foot in recent times. The Italian Squad shocked the paddock during the British GP race weekend as they were barely able to finish in the top 10. The sudden change in form was surprising as Leclerc had gotten a podium in Austria which was the GP before Silverstone. Even at Hungary, the squad just didn’t have the pace to fight at the front of the grid.
Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz finished 7th and 8th respectively on Sunday’s Hungarian GP. However, there has been an underlying issue affecting the team. The driver and the pit-wall exchanged a bunch of frantic-sounding radio messages throughout the 70 lap race. This in turn had compromised the Monegasque driver’s race due to the confusions that were caused.
In an interview, Charles Leclerc addressed the issue and revealed the cause behind it. “We had a lot of problems with the radio and one out of four words is not understood by the engineer, because there’s just been problems with the radio for three or four races. We need to fix that,” be said. “My tone of voice is quite high because I need to make myself heard. I wanted to make sure they didn’t hear me wrong and that I wanted to be aggressive early and not aggressive late,” he continued.
Charles Leclerc had no water throughout the race

During the hottest day if the race weekend, the Ferrari driver was left with no water to quench his thirst during the grand prix. Explaining the issue, the Monégasque said: “I had no water. Just before the start, I realised the tube was short, so I couldn’t reach the water – it was really frustrating,” Leclerc stated. This in turn caused a lot of frustration for the racer.
On the other hand, Max Verstappen and Red Bull made history yet again as they broke McLaren’s record and collected their 12th consecutive victory this season. During the podium celebrations, Lando Norris accidentally knocked the $60,000 first place trophy which broke into pieces. However, there’s no love lost between him and Verstappen as they both laughed it off.
