Max Verstappen is not only an impeccable driver but is also someone with many hidden talents. The Red Bull driver is obsessed with playing FIFA. During the 2021 US Grand Prix, Verstappen played for 14 long hours and ranked 21st globally. According to the Red Bull team boss, Christian Horner, Verstappen is an avid FIFA player.
Max Verstappen is known for his competitive nature in Formula One. It turns out that it’s not just in Formula One. Verstappen’s 2021 COTA weekend did not end only by topping the charts FIFA. He went on to win the US Grand Prix against.
It was only the ninth time a Formula One race was held in the Circuit of the Americas, popularly known as COTA. Verstappen went into the race as a leading champion, 6 points ahead of his rival, Lewis Hamilton. During the qualifying, Verstappen put on good sectors and undoubtedly started on the pole for the race. Hamilton qualified second.

It was a nerve-wracking start, with Hamilton getting the lead over Verstappen. The Mercedes driver had already won in COTA three times in the past. On lap 11, Verstappen pitted and changed to hard tires. He led the Grand Prix until he pitted again on lap 38 but soon gained the lead. After an intense battle of cat and mouse, Verstappen crossed the chequered flag and won his first US Grand Prix. He also doubled his points in the championship.
The Dutchman was focused as ever to keep his momentum going and secure first place. He concentrated on two things that weekend, playing FIFA and racing on Sunday. It was an impressive race and a narrow finish. Max Verstappen had a good year in 2021. He beat Lewis Hamilton and got his first world title in Formula One in the most controversial way.
The Red Bull driver will begin his 2023 season as the reigning world champion. After day one of pre-season testing, Christian Horner admitted that the team is happy with the RB19. Red Bull did not have porpoising issues last season. Thus, they had an advantage over the others regarding this. They kept working at their pace and were the strongest on the grid. It won’t be long before we know about their performance in the 2023 season.
