World No. 1 sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson poses in front of $285 million net worth Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes at the United States GP
Sha'Carri Richardson visited the Mercedes pit ahead of the United States GP where she posed in front of Lewis Hamilton's racecar.
As this year’s Formula One season is slowly nearing its end, the most exciting races are now rolling out. While the most expensive F1 race of all time, the Las Vegas GP, is scheduled to take place in a few weeks’ time, the United States GP is already underway. And gearing up for a blast at the Mercedes garage was none other than the famed American sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson.
At only 23 years of age, Richardson is hailed as the reigning women’s 100m Champion as she was crowned at the World Athletics Meet in Budapest. While Sha’Carri is more accustomed to racing on her own two feet, she switched the lanes to get to know how racing on four wheels would feel like by visiting the F1 United States GP.
The star athlete visited the track and posed for a photo with seven-times F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton. She shared the images of herself before Hamilton’s garage and seems really happy to be present there.
Throughout the United States sprint weekend, several stars have graced the different events with their presence. Sha’Carri was first spotted out and about in the paddocks at the Sprint Shootout. She presented the podium awards to reigning World Champion Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, and her friend Lewis Hamilton.
Lewis Hamilton has a big challenge as Charles Leclerc looks well on his way to bring another Grand Prix win to Ferrari
Charles Leclerc has had some misfortunes in the 2023 season as he came dangerously close to winning races but could not convert those opportunities to actual victories. On top of that, his teammate Carlos Sainz, who has only been in Ferrari for a year and a half now, had a resounding win at the Singapore GP where their SF-23 looked particularly strong. But now, it seems like Leclerc might finally zero in on the elusive Grand Prix victory at the COTA.
Throughout the sprint weekend at the United States, Charles Leclerc has appeared to be quite fast. He snatched the pole position at the Qualifying for Sunday’s race. He also appeared quite competent as he raced with Max Verstappen and got a P2 start at the Sprint Shootout. He also bagged a podium finish in the Sprint Race with six points to his name.
While the United States GP is currently underway and Charles Leclerc has managed to maintain his pole position with a well-timed start. It remains to be seen if Ferrari carry out their strategy calls impeccably to get the Monegasque his much-deserved race win.
