Heading into the Miami GP, all the drivers are energetic and carry a hope to finish better than they did in the inaugural race. Teams like Scuderia Ferrari are especially working hard to finish on the podium, as the car has been developed to perfection which has given them good pace and drivers like Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz can carry the team to finish 1-2, like they did in the Bahrain GP. At the same time, we can see Red Bull trying hard to develop the reliability of their car, as they have both pace and experienced drivers, but as seen twice already, their engines failed and are posing difficulty.

Even though these problems have occurred, former F1 driver and commentator, Martin Brundle believes that Red Bull are the best 2022 car on the grid. Verstappen has managed to win 2 out of the 4 races that have happened, ensuring that Red Bull still have the pace to be competitive enough to other teams. Brundle talked about the speed Red Bulls have on straights; ”If you look at how they’re winning the races – especially in today’s DRS-driven era – they’ve been dominant with their straight-line speed. Taking away Max’s unreliability, of course. My takeaway from the first four races is that Verstappen and Red Bull are the combo to beat for the world championship,” said Brundle.

‘I think the Red Bull will be mighty around here. A good car is a good car, whether it’s a wet day in Imola or a roasting one at a new Miami track,” said Brundle, expressing that how Red Bull is favorite for the Miami GP, and they stand a high chance to win in the race, and perhaps the World Championship.

Even after Verstappen’s engine failed twice during the Bahrain GP and the Australian GP, the Dutch still stands strong in 2nd position in the World Championship with 59 points, because of the two victories, and his teammate, Sergio Perez stands 3rd with 54 points. The team stands 2nd in the constructors’ with 113 points.
