Nico Rosberg the 2016 F1 world champion, has backed Lewis Hamilton to go for the kill in the 62-lap Singapore GP. The Brit is slated to start the grueling race from P3 and Rosberg feels the former has a shot at winning the race.
Since landing in Singapore, Lewis Hamilton has not been happy with the W15. During the practice sessions, he was not a happy chap but when it came to qualifying, the challenger came alive for him.
Moreover, on the back of it, his Q3 time proved good enough for a solid third place behind title contenders Max Verstappen and Lando Norris.

Rosberg has whole-heartedly backed Hamilton to try and fight for the win in the 62-lap race. The Brit has already amassed two shock victories this year and could be in for another if things pan out a certain way during the race.
Lewis Hamilton eyeing to give absolutely ‘everything’ in Singapore GP
While Nico Rosberg has backed Lewis Hamilton for a GRAND result at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, the latter has admitted to giving his everything in the race. Considering recent events’ setbacks, Hamilton is determined to give it full beans in the night race. George Russell will start alongside the 39-year-old on the second row.
We are now starting from a solid place to fight for the podium tomorrow. We don’t know exactly where our race pace will be compared to others, but with the changes we made overnight, it felt like we had improved since Friday. We’ll be giving it everything on Sunday.Lewis Hamilton via Mercedesamgf1
The 2024 Singapore GP is shaping up to be an extremely fascinating watch. Norris and Verstappen will go gung-ho into Turn 1 on the first lap of the race and this could provide Hamilton with an opportunity to sneak ahead of them.
However, the seven-time world champion will have to be wary of his teammate. Russell is also an ultimate opportunist and if he sees a gap to pounce on going into Turn 1, he will certainly do it. Things will get feisty between the top four drivers during the initial tussles of the race.
