Mercedes Chief Ola Källenius was at Barcelona to attend the 2024 Spanish GP. The recent upgrades from the Silver Arrows showed great results. With Lewis Hamilton and George Russell securing third and fourth place in the race.

Ola Källenius, while talking to media, made a playfully comment on Max Verstappen future in Formula 1. He mentioned, in 2026 when there will be changed in the sports landscape, Verstappen could potentially be interested in joining Mercedes. Källenius hinted that top drivers like Verstappen naturally aim to drive for the best teams, and it’s Mercedes’ goal to create a strong package to attract talents like him. He mentioned, Verstappen would fit well with Mercedes silver colored cars.

The best drivers want to be in the best cars and our job is to put together the best possible package. 2026? The cards will be reshuffled and Max would also look good in silver.
