Oscar Piastri feels ‘honored’ on being compared to 4-time champion Alain Prost in F1

McLaren driver Oscar Piastri has quickly become a popular name in world of motorsports. Piastri has been exceptional in his efforts and has amassed two wins along with seven podiums so far this year.
Oscar Piastri has notched up a convincing reputation for being an impulsive yet effective driver both on and off the track. The 23-year-old has shown grit and delivered for his team where it mattered the most throughout this season.
Piastri has since been compared to French motorsport legend Alain Prost due to his style of racing. Prost competed between 1980 and 1993, winning four drivers’ championships in that time.
The Australian has reacted humbly to comparisons with Prost, citing his gratefulness for the same. Going forwards, he will now continue to make his mark and perform to the best of his abilities for the Woking-based team.
Oscar Piastri issues message to Lando Norris amidst McLaren team orders
Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have been brilliant as a pair, propelling the Papayas to lead the constructors’ championship this season. The two, have however, had their fare share of tussles on the track.
Piastri has agreed to help Lando Norris win the drivers’ championship, given the latter’s position in the title race. He has nevertheless sought rationale in the team’s orders to help Norris in winning races.
Norris currently stands second in the title race, trailing by 52 points to the leader. According to the odds, the Brit requires extremely solid performances in the last six races to clinch the title. He will therefore require the utmost support of his teammate in dethroning Verstappen and winning his first ever title this year.
