Over the years, F1 has evolved in all its aspects. From on-track action to the kind of access fans have to the drivers, it is quite unprecedented. In line with this, a hilarious fun segment between George Russell and Alex Albon has recently come to light.
F1 has shared a candid conversation between the two prolific drivers via their official Instagram handle. Moreover, to add a bit more spice to it, the banter’s main focus is the fans’ comments on George Russell and Alex Albon‘s social media posts.

Russell: The comments I see are like, You su*k, I don’t like you, Toto lover, and you know, this kind of stuff.

Russell: Oh, yeah, yeah, all absolutely true. Do you even get comments on your social media?
Albon: I had six last time.
Looking at the hilarious banter between the two, it is quite clear that they had an extremely fun time shooting the segment. Such light-hearted moments play a huge role in helping the drivers relax and for a moment or two, forget about the ever-present pressures of racing in F1.
George Russell is ‘constantly developing’ as an F1 driver
While George Russell has had a fun banter with his good friend Alex Albon, the former’s career is on an impressive upward trajectory. Since joining Mercedes, the Brit has been able to hold his own against the seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton.
Moreover, during the ongoing season, he has simply outclassed Hamilton in the qualifying head-to-head.
He’s learning, he’s constantly developing. That is a skill we have all admired with Lewis – although he’s this great champion, he is constantly developing as a human and as a racing driver. So yes, George has all he needs to step in the more senior role in the team and take the leadership when it maybe comes to technical decisions on set-ups that need to be taken.

Toto Wolff has been an admirer of Russell for a long time. The latter is currently under contract with the Brackley-based team until the end of the 2025 F1 season and thus, already has quite a few eyes on him.
Red Bull’s Christian Horner recently showered huge praise on the Brit and admitted that they are keeping an eye on him for 2026. Keeping in view everything that has been discussed, it will be fascinating to see how Russell’s F1 journey will develop in the coming years.
